How do I add a plant?

Tap the green "+" button in the top right of the Plants tab. Enter your plant's name, select the species, set a watering schedule, and optionally add a photo. Tap Save.

How do watering reminders work?

Each plant has its own watering frequency. When it's time to water a plant, Verdant Grow sends a local notification. You'll see a water droplet badge on plants that need attention. Tap a plant and press "Water Now" to mark it as watered.

I'm not getting notifications. What should I check?

Make sure notifications are enabled:

1. Open iOS Settings → Verdant Grow
2. Ensure Notifications are enabled
3. Check that Time Sensitive Notifications is on for important reminders

Can I customize each plant's watering schedule?

Yes! When adding or editing a plant, you can set a custom watering interval from 1 to 30 days. The app also suggests a default based on the species type.

Will my data sync across devices?

Verdant Grow stores all data locally on your device. Your plant data is included in your standard iCloud or local backups, but the app does not sync between devices directly.

How do I delete a plant?

Open the plant's detail page, then swipe left on the plant name or tap the delete button at the bottom. You can also delete plants from the list by swiping left.

Does the app work without internet?

Yes! Verdant Grow is fully functional offline. All features — plant library, watering reminders, care history, and journal — work without any internet connection.

Is my data private?

Absolutely. Verdant Grow collects no personal data, uses no analytics, and sends nothing to any server. Read our full Privacy Policy.
